Consigned: Vintage Red Cast Iron Trivet

Way before kitchen counters were made of materials that were damaged by heat, most cooks owned several trivets. Not that they’re no longer as necessary, all those trivets have become collectible. This cast iron one is an especially nifty piece — the triangular shaped, elaborately detailed footed metal has a fabulous red paint patina.
